I hope Skil corrects the manual and has some obvious tags on the saw and box alerting the user to the fact that it's up to them to purchase and fill it with the correct oil before use. Small oversight with costly consequences. When I called Skil about this, they acknowledged that they do not ship with oil but seemed to shrug it off. Most importantly fill the worm gear housing with oil as the one I got and the display models in store had NO OIL in them. I'd recommend double checking the 0 degree bevel alignment screw and maximum depth of cut stabilization adjustment screw for proper setting. However, mine and the display models in store were neither.
